
That was an underestimation !
This is about the new Rajni film Sivaji,the boss. The expectations were top at the sky. Rajni's long awaited film after two and a half year, Shankar's direction after the mega hit Anyan, Music Legend A.R.Rahman's scores, Antony's camera... Everything were there to expect a Universal picture. But the real craft was dissappointing as the media hype that the Sivaji got was a handfull. First, the music was charming and vibrant. But the visualisation doesn't seem to be on high peak, it was just average. Ofcourse, Shankar deployed all his cre, time, money for the song shooting, building a super set made of glasses. Really the set looks glamorous and royale. But the real visuals failed to put any mark in viewers. And Rajni too played only style numbers in the romantic song 'Saharaa..' which created monotony only.
And the media hype too was made in a different way. It was an innovative marketing strategy. Sivaji was filled the prime time of many national channels. And Sivaji became a big thing in middle class people's mind. And the regional channels too joined in the race to promote it. Thus Sivaji team got a wide range of spectacular marketing without incurring much cost(there is hues that the national team got a big sum for the same too).
Anyhow, that was only a Rajni film. And the graet victory of this average movie shows the real star power of the people's Super Star Rajni....
